Hearing Aid Styles
Experience the difference.
Cutting edge healthcare with a personal touch.
A hearing aid style may be recommended by your audiologist in order to best fit your hearing amplification needs.
Behind-the-ear (BTE) style hearing aids are best for severe-profound hearing loss or for those who need the most durability.
Mini BTE/ Receiver-in-the-canal (RIC) style hearing aids are best for those who want a discreet hearing aid with an open fitting. This is the most common style chosen today.
In-the-ear (ITE) or In-the-canal (ITC) style hearing aids are best for those who do not want part of the hearing aid behind their ear. These are custom-molded to each ear for a snug fitting.
Completely-in-canal (CIC) and Invisible-in-canal (IIC) style hearing aids are best for those who want very small, discreet devices all encased inside the ear canal.
